Will he be the standard summoner who provides support to his spirit beasts and covers for their shortcomings, a Yi Norm who fights along with his beasts or perhaps a more Dhundan approach where he will rely on shifting/manifesting aspects of the beast.
It might be necessary to call a vote to settle on an archetype, or for the sake of not missing out, and depending on the speed of the quest, each stage/minor stage (or even locations) can have bonuses and maluses for each. Just pulling shit out of my ass but maybe something like:
>In this specific stage beasts will be weaker when compared to weapons techniques/mystical arts, so you wouldn't just sic your wolf on Yan'er and instead have it back you up>In this other stage the Beast Tamer will be weaker due to a dao bottleneck/restriction from heaven/etc. so the beasts will do the heavy lifting, with the tamer playing backup>Certain breakpoints have a near 50/50 or encourage shifting/manifesting>What future do you envision?Leadership, he might take over the eastern branch after the older generations get promoted, or he could leave and have a small elite band, found his own sect or maybe even lead Stable Lotus if anons decide to matchmake him with little Yanyan.
I almost want to run a xianxia quest myself but I've never done it so I might refrain for the time being, thank you for your work and thanks to all the anons that made this quest a thing.
