>>5197706>Let it run its course, Anzu and Momo have known Yuzu far longer than you.You just sigh and say nothing, looking over to Yuzu. At the very least, she seems happy to have some of her friends around for her birthday so you hold your tongue for her sake.
“We’re just here to hand over our presents,” Momo explains. “It is still a school night after all.”
“Of course, take your time,” you reply. “Make yourself at home.” They already have, you remind yourself, but at this this point there’s nothing you can really do about it.
You retreat to the kitchen and set about acquiring some snacks and drinks to feed your unexpected guests as they hand over thinks to her. Thankfully, Yuzu decides against opening them right now as that’d likely lead to further discussion of the presents beyond their dimensions and some thanks, which would keep them in your apartment even longer.
It takes an hour of chatter and present giving before most of your guests decide to take their leave. Apart from Erika.
“I basically live here!” She complains as you drag her out. “You can’t just kick me out!”
“I can and will,” you grunt back as you reach the door. “You can come back tomorrow.”
“Where will I go!?” She exclaims back.
“Your apartment,” you reply as you finally get her out the door. “If you get lost I’ll send you instructions.”
You close the door, and you can hear her huff and turn around instead of putting up anymore of a fight.
“Ah, we’re finally free,” you groans as you slide down the door.
“You don’t think you were a little harsh on her?” Yuzu asks as she sits down next to you by the door.
“I think I’m usually too soft on her,” you reply, getting a snicker from Yuzu.
>“Did you have fun?” That’s all that really matters.>”It would be nice if Anzu told me her plans in advance, you know?”>”I got you a present as well.”>Write-in
