Everything about that old man is ringing alarm bells in your head. You would've probably aped out any other day but you manage to contain yourself. For now. You need some sort of dirt or information on him before you do anything else.
"Let's go check out that apartment block. We're not in any rush right?" You pause. Probably not the best phrasing considering the previous topic. "I mean. He told us he would reward us if we checked there. Might as well humor him."
Maruyama faintly smiles when he hears you correct yourself. "If it doesn't impact the mission much, I see no harm in it." Kiara is obviously disappointed at the 'boring' option you picked but she tries her best to keep up a smile. "S-sure. No harm."
The three of you walk through the empty streets of Avalon. None of you particularly want to talk, leaving the place in complete silence. Aside from the metallic clanging of Kiara's body and your party's footsteps, that is. You keep an eye out on the various buildings you pass by. You make extra sure to stir clear of the ones that fit Gregory's warnings.
You swear you saw something peering its head around the doorless entryway of one of the buildings you passed. It's gone before you have a time to make sure it was there. You hope it's just the silent and grey landscape messing with your head.
Kiara chimes in. "You know, there's an old saying I recall. Whenever it's too quiet-"
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] "That's never a good thing." You finish it for her. You do recall something like that. It's frankly vague and generic but it's valuable.
"This place has been abandoned for how long again?" Maruyama shakes his head. "I would be more unsettled if it was somehow bursting with life." You can't exactly refute that either. Oh well, you can worry about this later.
You eventually end up outside of the apartment complex in question. Your first impression is that this place might've looked actually pretty good sixty years ago. There's hints of the bright and luxurious colors that once plastered the front of the building. Now, it looks like it's threatening to crumble in on itself but there's still a trace of what once was.
Other than some empty cars parked outside of the apartment complex, you don't really see anything else of note. The three of you proceed to head into the apartment.

You damn near instantly choke on the amount of DUST flooding this place. Maruyama falls to his knees as his old man lungs crap out on him. Kiara quickly moves over to get him off of the ground. You and Maruyama quickly rush outside to recover from the sudden dust attack.
You two try again a few minutes later. Kiara was still standing in the middle of the front room, completely confused at the reaction you two had. The dust hasn't gotten any better but you can at least expect it this time.
"What was that about? It's just dust." Kiara chirps. Neither you or Maruyama are amused.
