>>5491653Realizing too late the folly of her choice of words, Child merely stands up before walking to you. Soon getting into your space while still standing on the pillar for the stare-down. Symbolizing her “superiority” over the subject as she puts her hands on her hips, arching her back with dramatic flair. “Ah yes, I did say that, didn’t I? How astute of you to point that out. Don’t worry, I won’t go back on my word. Just don’t complain when that boon overwhelms you and you pop like the inflatable barbie doll you are.” Child smiles, an angry tic forming on the side of her temple.
Stomping your foot against the ground, you form a smile on your arm as you follow Child’s example by arching your back. “Fine by me. I’ll be happy to take all the all-encompassing love you’re willing to give your new anchor and familiar. Since we’re stuck together, it’s only fair if I do my part and help out such a dainty little girl with whatever she asks. It’s only fair. "You reply, also forming a cross-shaped vein on your temple, glaring right back at Child as you act just as cordial.
“Ladies, you both proved yourselves right in this argument, but can we get a move on here.” Robin laments, watching what essentially devolved into a verbal catfight.
Right on cue, both you and Child turned to Robin, contouring your faces to a more ferocious and aggressive expression. Looking more like a pair of enraged giant felines rather than humans from the sheer intensity of your ire. “Shut up, don’t interfere Boy Wonder!”
Robin could only sigh, knowing that trying to get through you or Child would be like trying to make a mountain out of an anthill. Surprisingly enough, however, both you and Child would back down afterward. Through silence the two of you reached a compromise, taking into account that both of you were just as stubborn as the other. Neither one wanted to submit and be the better person. Of which the seeds for a simpatico relationship were oddly enough thriving in this foundation’s soil. Robin was quick to take notice of this and chose not to point it out. The two of you weren’t there yet to accept it without lashing out.
Following Robin, as he led the way, you finally made your way into the Church. Leaving Child to go back to sitting on the stair column as she was now in a grumpy mood. Naturally, this didn’t deter from the plan you and Robin came up with prior. You were getting more pumped, compartmentalizing your explosive outburst of emotions to fuel yourself both physically and mentally. All the while bringing back some semblance of the presence of mind you displayed earlier. You were going to support Robin by being the distraction, so lashing out in anger was perfect for this operation.
