After all, I've let you cuties get so terribly close to the end of Page 10 without spending all of those delicious, yummy banked rolls that you've accrued. How very unlike me. Unlike SOME of the Angels gathered at the Throne of Heaven, your beloved Tychae is a diligent and responsible girl who ALWAYS does her best and never gives a half measure. If I didn't screw all the bad kids over, then they'd never get their karmic desserts, and that cake's even more delicious that a good roll, dontcha think.
So we've done this song and dance a couple of times before. That boring guy likes to do one in the middle of the thread to keep the banked rolls from piling up too high, and then I come out in the end to run off with what's left and bring you into the new thread nice and easy.
But isn't predictable stuff like that boring? Nah, we're gonna shake it up today, and do something a little different than before. Put the wheel in your hands.
So here's what we're gonna do. You cute mortals have managed to accrue five (cinco) (5) banked rolls in the back half of the thread, which is a nice and tasty sacrifice for your favorite angel (me) (Tychae!). But Tychae knows your games, she knows how you like to spend your rolls, so she's just gonna take one of those off the top and save it for her favorite good kids (you) (the players). You will start the next thread with one banked roll carried over on my wings, so be grateful~
The other four rolls can be used to purchase any of the following:
>Token of the Sword: Win a fight against a challenging (but not overwhelming) opponent.
>Token of the Scales: Succeed on a skill check with two degrees of success.
>Token of the Shield: Succeed on a saving throw against an enemy ability.
>Token of the Coin: Automatically max out the treasure from an encounter.
>Token of the Quill: Win a social encounter or debate with a good outcome.
Each of these costs one roll, and you can purchase multiples of them. The boring guy who likes Lady Knights is going to take a break from this quest for two weeks because some crunch time came up at work, and he can't be staying up so late to write things. <span class="mu-s">Thread three will start on February 4th</span>.
