You ruffle her hair and, with a parting kiss, you meet your two pact-bound human acolytes at forest’s edge. To them, you bequeath the Vaz baby.
“…Uh, what is this?” asks the female of the pair, a little alarmed.
“A human infant,” you say, succinctly. “I thought it wass obviouss.”
The male elbows her, and she clarifies—or backpedals, perhaps.
“R-right,” she says. “And we’re supposed to…?”
You look at your cousin who, while disoriented and upset by yet another shift in caregivers, is easily appeased with a bit of goblin-donated porridge (you don’t’ ask after the ingredients) and a light touch of mesmeric influence. She coos, settling into sleep with a full stomach.
“Keep her ssafe,” you say. “Take her to Henzler. She will take it from there”
