>>6090662(Given our slow progression and scheduling, we're stepping up the Ruinous Quartet plot line from element to here. To this end, we'll be starting out with some simple, low-party sidequests. You can read back on them on the Rentry, which I'll update sometime between now and the next session.
With that out of the way, and without further ado...)
Fumble Jungle - Coast!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mV0IM-EmxEYou've been hired by the ever-shady Salandit to head to a jungle island off the coast called Fumble Jungle. He explained that the place is home to a temple and is subsumed by several Mystery Dungeons. What he didn't explain is why he had to hire a Lapras ferry... but that answer becomes clear as you arrive, with a sandy beach characterized with jutting rocks and moderately sized cliffs, coral reefs underneath the clear waters, and its' shore is positively littered with bits of driftwood and shipwrecks. While unsuited to a larger vessel like the Shore Thing, your ferries drop you off without any issue, and the beach seems almost cozy...
No time to waste, though! While the rest of your party heads to their own objectives across the island, we'll follow the exploits of Sail, Wallis, and Kaz, who have been tasked with exploring the shore and finding a solid spot to make a base camp for the goods you intend to loot.
Just looking around, this place seems surprisingly difficult to navigate. The waves are harsh - at least for Pokemon of your stature - and the actual jungle is dense as ever. Your immediate path seems blocked off by large cliffs to the east, but to the west, they seem easier to traverse...
While swimming isn't the brightest idea in conditions like this, that doesn't make water unviable. There's a lot of sturdy ex-ships caught in the water that would make adequate footing or shields from the waves in trying to get around these crags.
pic unrelated.
