It was coming close to night, which for the Fabricator General is the time of rest. Such was the allotted time given to him by the F.A.G. that both himself, Priests, and their Servants would follow accordingly for maximum industrial output. But really though it was taking TalOS away from something he had gained a small nack for liking, and supplementing it with something else.
They traveled without issue. Just as TalOS had done when he was a child he guided the two of them through the grandeur of the city in which they lived. Smoke covered the tops of all the manufactoriums that were around them as they pelted out the materials needed to arm the Auxilia that were to march out into the skies. Among those, hundreds of smaller workshops and laboratories owned by Adepts of all types scattered about allowing TalOS’s latest design to go underway.
As he crossed the streets the people around him did not move to dodge him. They did not make way as they would for any Knight of Dutonis. Instead they treated him just like any other person, trying their best to avoid collision with the large Tech Priest who dominated their view and the presence of something awfully foul among the children. The People of Lucius after all had gotten used to the subtle and ever present nullification that surrounded the planet now, and those who could not cope had become starch for the rest.
The three of them ascended a pair of staircases and into a trolley system. This was part of a greater network that covered the entire city. Unlike other more standard infrastructure within a Hive City, this network was wired into a central bay that hosted a series of rails and cranes. Thus, with ease, the carts were moved in just the right way to easily reorganize for new routes.
TalOS and his children stepped upon one of these recently moved vessels along with several dozen others. The children stayed at the walls with small wrists clicking active. Such a thing was needed, TalOS knew, for if anyone were to accidentally touch one of these children their mind might be rendered asunder. Thus, experimental technology was to be employed.
TalOS gave it a failure rate of 1.7%, which was respectable. It was hard when the Psi Crystals attempted to satisfy the Pariahs would shatter from the constant consumption of their souls. TaloS knew, for a fact, that if they grew excited that failure rate would shoot up to 76%. Such an error was not on the device, but the Material. TalOS might need to consider Blackstone but the idea of such a thing made it impossible to consider.
The trolley tugged as the inertia keeping them in place was defeated by the Machines Spirits of the cart. TalOS watched as his internal tracking systems realized the rate of travel to accelerate at a reasonable rate. They will arrive right on time according to the chronometer and the Machine Spirit’s calculations that existed within the body of TalOS.
