Kai continued on after saying goodbye to the his prospective new student. Declining the offer to help find out about his past was odd, but if Yama felt it was the best move, Kai wouldn’t push the issue. As a martial artist, he knows the importance of trusting one’s instincts.
To think that in barely two days since he opened the dojo to others he already had three challengers, two students and a sparring partner. And that is before he even he renovated the dojo or it became acknowledged! The thought of that encouraged Kai hurry to his destination, the sooner that he got the correct clothes, the sooner he would look the part of a respectable martial artist.

Unfortunately the laundromat had sent the deliveries that same morning, so they could not switch at the moment. While they apologized for the mistake and insisted to sort it out, Kai had already decided to solve it himself. They likely would take quite a while to contact the owner if they managed to swap the clothes. Seriously, not only are their sizes and types completely different, but his tournament uniform also has Kai emblazoned in the back, you would have to be blind to miss it!

Finding the address was a harder than expected, seems that the neighborhood keeps changing street names and routes because of all the reconstruction after large attacks. Quite often Kai had to ask multiple persons about directions or double back after ending up in a dead end.
But in the end he found the apartment complex on 21-B Rose Street. It was a quaint, if a bit generic. He could see most people mistaking it for plenty of others if they weren’t paying attention, like in a hurry. Entering the building was easy, some residents leaving for their job gave him an odd look, but no-one confronted him. Standing in front of the door, he paused for a moment to think how he should introduce himself, before deciding to just knock and explain the situation as he went along.
“Mister Shinon Watanabe, are you home?”
