I also found the character fairly amusing, he reminded me for some reason of those naked loincloth rolling fat men in the Bloodborne chalice dungeons (I assume they put those in there to troll dark souls rolling players, every time they rolled at you they exposed their buttocks, it was very frightening). A lot of Japanese videogames have strange depictions of foreigners, Tenchu on xbox had that port harbour level with the funny weird portuguese ?? sailor people in sort of 16th century costume ruff collars etc.
