This is troubling.
The fact people were losing faith in Shennu was bad. Losing faith in the god would weaken it over time. And if Shennu were really to fall, then who would tutor the seas? I can only make a well placed and terrible guess that if Shennu was to weaken so, the Afterseas would grow stronger in the Opaltic Ocean. Maybe even secure a foothold to Woldoria this way.
That was bad. I could not let that happen. I couldn't let another part of the world fall under the Dark Lord.
But how to convince these mortals to help? And how to solve Shennu's hatred of man? What did they do? I would only be able to confirm the dragon's reasons if I were able to meet it, and these mortals are not warmest on the idea of revisiting this 'sacred lighthouse' to summon Shennu...
[MAJORDOMO] "Could just mind control them."
'You mean strip their will? Puppet them? I am not a member of the Trinity.' I barked back in thoughtform to Majordomo.
[MAJORDOMO] "I'm just saying... end justifies the means and all that. Besides, I think they might even forgive being mind controlled if you made Shennu like them again."
Damn you Majordomo. Damn you and your having points, even if they seem immoral.
Somehow, I had to do something to convince these mortals without giving away who I was, or even spoiling my intent and identity... what could I do?
Would I really have to resort to such a desperate measure?
