The Slicerat Patrols that prowl these distant shanties and twisting warrens shift and move.
From the distance, a... courier group? arrives. That one moves with intent. Each turn, they'll move 1 closer, until they finally arrive in Ratport.
Our Interceptors have a choice to make.
You can Intercept a given Patrol. Their Strength is in Red and their Number is in Teal. When you intercept, this is a Style Roll, opposed by the Slice-Rats Patrol-Strength +10. For each positive Margin, you reduce their Strength by 1.
Because you can plan this, when you opt to Intercept, you can roll 6d6. The first 3d6 is your Style. The next 3d6 is the Slicerats. This allows others to figure out how well (or how poorly) you did, and that way, you can coordinate a little. They might want to sprint to your aid, or not. Because...
... For each margin by which the Slicerats win, everyone involved get a little trounced, taking some bruises, losing some guard, suffering some damage.
If you want to push yourself, you can get +1-4 to your Style by accepting a level of danger. This is a skill roll, taken at that penalty (1-4), before your Style roll. If you succeed, you get to add that much bonus. Do describe how your skills help. Skills can also alter the land-scape around here a little bit, blocking off paths, setting things in motion.
A Slicerat Patrol reduced to 0 is functionally out of the scrap, fleeing, and won't show up in Ratport later or be there to harass you if you need to leave at speed.
If the Slicerats are uninterrupted, well, they wander, and if someone reaches them from the Warehouse, they'll come sprinting over at speed.
Speaking of sprinter over at speed, Patrol 5 has wandered in to the Ratport Warehouse Tile, and will arrive at the *end* of next Player Phase / start of world phase. Unless, of course, you intercept them.
... But if you'd rather not keep the byways and alleyways clear, and since our first fierce frontal fighters have kicked in the door, you can instead opt to deploy...
