This is the cannon I was thinking of - apparently it is just called multi-barrelled cannon and not a volley gun / ribauldequin in the game. These artillery units are actually pretty useless lol (cannons best used for bombarding walls, these are really only anti-infantry and poor range). The mortars are surprisingly good in Cossacks and I also remember you could get mercenary archers who just shot fire arrows setting alight enemy buildings in early game assault rushes.
