The smell of incense crossed TalOS as those at the table began to think. Thoughts and algorithms continued to try and develop a cohesive process to learn what would prove optimal. It was a simple weight matrix comparing their objective’s value and if that was worth the risk from the Orks.
However as the men of steel thought one other spoke.
“My Lords.” The Imperial Fist started as he looked upon the battlefield, “May I recommend another course of action?”
“Present.” TalOS’s mechanical voice crackled as he waved his hand towards the board.
The Fist gave the Primarch a firm nod before moving the screen, “In my battle with the Orks we have found that as a race they are far more capable than any others. While the Mitu have caused terror upon the humans in the Southern Federation, if we allow the cancer that is the Grail System Orks to stay alive they will be the doom of us.”
TalOS’s eyes blinked, and then blinked again, “Your logic is sound Matthias. We have allowed ourselves to be narrowed into the wrong issue like an unguided Machine Spirit. My fellow Domini, I do not think we together can even compare to our compatriots in manners of fighting Orkoids.”
The first to speak was Arch Magos Sicaran, “You are correct Sanctus Dominus. I have read over a series of reports issued from all Legions but none of that information was processed directly from Mechanicum War Assets. It likely does not contain the raw understanding that Legion Master Matthias has.”
“We must take to the skies once again and examine the issue from abroad then.” Declared Prime Magos Pterraxi, “Legion Master, what do you make of the situation?”
TalOS noticed that for just a moment the Astartes stood stunned. It was an easy estimation to guess that the Astartes was assuming that they would have only paid passing heed to those words. As if he had seen it before…
TalOS could not help but take a moment to think back to his brothers. Surely as a Legion Master Matthias had interactions with Horus at some point. If he had, he would have gotten a full breath of his personality. Leading to TalOS’s realization that the persona matrix of Horus Lupercal was becoming more true.
“I am surprised that either side of this conflict has yet to overtop one another. Likely this was due to a series of innovations by their Collective but they will soon fail.”
