This was a lot. No idea what awaits us on the other side of the rainbow bridge beyond.
'Woldor, will you allow us a moment to recuperate?'
[WOLDOR] "Haha, recuperate? Hm, yes, a warrior does require time to mentally steel themselves for the battles ahead!" He said, nearly snapping his fingers again, until he looked at them and slowly lowered his hand; "Rest as ye would. But tarry not long. Glory is imminent! HAHAHA!"
While Woldor sat upon a rock waiting, we all took some time to unwind and prepare for the start of this challenge. I had a feeling Woldor was not going to let us off the hook easily, though he was content to let me take as much time as I wanted. But he was clear to us. The moment we start the challenge he issues to me now here, I was expected to see it through to the end. All the way up to his hall. All the way up to the ominous future of facing him in a melee.
And I had a nervousness about me. A sinking feeling he intends to face me then when that time comes... at his full strength, holding nothing back. In a way, I feel as though he is looking forward to that. He must see in me a person who can draw out every mote of power he has toe to toe. He must want to train me with his challenges even...
Shennu and Eskart were talking. I heard the Magic God reminisce of times he had been invited by Woldor to the pantheon, which he turned down out of his need to remain neutral.
[WOLDOR] "Oooh, you'll come around!"
[ESKART] "Doubtful."
Whilst Jenk showed Wolfboy how to tighten his little muscles and learn better control of them to prepare for the future fights. Even the Ginnungagap and Ela I faced wouldn't be as difficult as what Woldor had in store for us.
I looked to the sun from where I floated above the ground, holding a lotus position. I wondered what Woldor's flaws were in the end... besides his expansionist policy when it came to his pantheon, and his lust for unending war?
[NOBLE VOICE] "...go... away from there..."
...?
What was that?
[NOBLE] "...do not..."
I stared at the sun and blinked. I swore it... said something to me.
[MAJORDOMO] "Uhh, Munny? What do you make of that?"
I have no idea. But whatever it was... the voice, it... it sounded labored. Like an exhausted breath. A voice without any energy or emotion.
...
Was that the voice of the Emperor speaking to me?!
[WOLDOR] "HAIL!"
'Ah!'
God of War! He just appeared beside me then and spooked me! Don't do that! Ugh!
[WOLDOR] "Is something the matter? You looked stunned, warrior!"
'N-Nothing... it's nothing. Just thinking is all... In any case, I think I'm ready now.'
(HP regained from meditating. Eerie clue heard.)
[WOLDOR] "WONDERFUL! HAHAHAHA! THEN COME HITHER!"
