"Hey! Lady! You got implants, yeah?"
Is Molly talking to you? You glance around but the only one she's looking at you is you.
"Yeah? I do?"
"Cool! Give it to the bug lady and the cowboy! They're really cool and I think they deserve it!"
"Hey, what about me? I'm cool too!"
Molly takes one look at the beanpole she's standing right next to before immediately dismissing any 'cool' notions. "Uh nuh. You're lame."
Max calmly digs for a pair of shades in her tuxedo's breastpocket for a pair of shades. She puts them on to try (and fail) to hide the look of despair she had at a random 12 year old not finding her cool. "Okay! That's fine! Totally fine! Mmh hmm! Say, Nicole-"
You're already busy opening up Clover's mouth so you can drop the RECONSTRUCTOR IMPLANT down his throat. Something is telling you that's how you install this particular implant.
"N-nevermind." Max decides not to say what she was going to say.
After he forces the squirming implant down, you toss the DAEMON IMPLANT over to Benjamin so he can jab it into Casey again. He slices into her left shoulder with a spare scalpel from the HARVESTING KIT before just shoving it inside.
You would question his ability to practice medicine but the ancient implant just squirms its way into her shoulder before sealing the incision shut all by itself.
Hm.

"With this 5.2% increase in our group's productivity and efficacy, nothing can stop us now! You spoke of a Warehouse where those janitors' bribes were being stored at?" Casey twirls her cheap piece-o-shit rapier she probably stole from some lost-and-found dump. "What are we waiting for? We should-"
"No." Benjamin chides her with an uncharacteristic level of worry in his tone. "I don't think we should go anywhere."
"Eh? Max, what's wrong with yer boy toy?" Clover rubs his sore throat with one hand while keeping his other near his holstered revolver. Despite not knowing what's wrong, it's clear he's prepared to get into a fight if need be. "Ominous fuckin' thing to drop out of nowhere"
"Someone's following us. I think so, at least."
Now THAT gets the group's attention.
Kiara tries to get a read on your surroundings but the fog is clearly messing with her ANALYZER MODULE. As for you, your mental radar isn't up but you DO notice it's quiet. Awfully quiet. A Drone or two may pass by the toy store every minute but the bustling traffic has suddenly dried up.
"Weird. Bug guy streets are only this empty if some big event is happening but..." Molly strains to find the right words to use. "My big event isn't for a while. No big event is. Only other reason is if something's scary so they scuttle underneath their rocks..."
"Ben." Max tries to keep up an air of confidence around herself. "When did you first notice it?"
"About five minutes ago. When we met up with you guys and started talking."
"Could've followed us from the train station." You offer your own speculation. "What's the plan, guys?"
