>>5458145You decide to pay a visit to one of your company’s newest members. You find Clay sitting by himself on a ledge, looking down and observing some of the other members of the Blackwings coming and going. As you approach him, you notice that the Blackwing in particular that he is looking at is Diana, who is currently enjoying an afternoon snooze under some shade. As you approach, he notices you and gives off a friendly wave.
“Blair! How are you doing today?”
>“I’m fine. I figured I’d come and check on how you were fitting in. Are you enjoying your stay with the Blackwings?”“Am I ever.” He whistles, before turning back to look at Diana, whom you only now realize is somewhat scantily dressed. “You’ve got quite the company of lookers, let me tell you. Call it a weakness of mine, but I find pretty girls on the battlefield to be distracting. Still, it’s a good thing looks aren’t the only thing they have. Everyone fought wonderfully in that last fight. The Blackwings have certainly earned their reputation, and I’m glad I picked the right group of mercenaries to join!”
>“You fought pretty well out there yourself. I saw you defend Elizabeth against those three brutes that sought to do her harm. Did you help her just because you thought she was pretty?”Clay laughs. “I’d always come to the aid of a comrade in need, be they man or woman! That being said…her looks certainly didn’t hurt.”
>You sigh. “What is with you? You remind me of a guy I knew back at school. He was just as lecherous of a man as you are.”“Lecherous?!” Clay gasps. “You wound me, Commander. I merely am capable of appreciating the beauty the Goddess instills in each of her creations.”
>“Are you now? That’s curious.” You take a seat next to Clay, overlooking the courtyard below. “I had no idea they worshipped the Goddess in Dagda.”“I guess I’m just a special case.” Clay smiles. “This is not my first time in Fodlan, I’ll have you know. Though Dagda has their own gods that they worship, I found that the Church of Seiros and its Goddess is a more appealing religion for me.”
>“You’ve been to Fodlan before? What were you doing here?”Clay shrugs. “A little of this. A little of that. I’m a travelling adventurer, my friend. There are many places in this world I’ve been to. From the mountains of Sreng to the deserts of Almyra. The snowy wastes of Albinea and even the fabled City of Illusions, Morfis. To travel the world and take in new sights, new people, new things. That is my calling.”
>“You look a bit…young for all that travelling?”Clay laughs. “Well, truth be told, I’m not actually that young! But when you love what you do, age has a funny way of staving off.”
