"Time to clean the hunting utensils, I'll help Hyde with placing the weapons down." Serpico excused himself out of the caravan's entrance.
"Serpico, wait! When do I put the fire out?" Farnese asks the golden question.
"It's far from done yet, just keep it mixing and watch the fire." He instructs his lady before leaving.
"Keep it mixing and watch the fire, keep it mixing and watch the fire..." Farnese attempted to do what her knight did so many times before as she stirred the pot with a wooden spoon.
You know, this meat is looking a bit too stale. This doesn't smelled anything like the food she had back home... Where's the color? The spices? Surely they had to be something in the woods they could use to give the meal some personality...
Ah, Mushrooms! She heard a few chefs serving mushrooms before, surely they must all taste the same when you wash them and dice them, let's see if the ones off the floor can work, they should be enough to give some color for the stew.
What's this? Why, Serpico left some fish laying on the river! How could he be so careless?
Well, they do look very ugly. All round and full of spikes... Farnese did not remember eating any fish like that. Then again, all fish look the same when they're chopped into pieces. One more to the pile, then.
Farnese might be good with taking an animal's life, to gut a fish takes a bit more effort, with some of the bones still staying inside. She nearly cut her fingers on that bouncy pile of bones, what a weird fish indeed.
Oh, shoot! She didn't think the egg would start frying so fast if she stopped stirring! It's already stuck on the iron! Maybe if she added more water to the stew, it would hide some of the burnt spots.
The smoke was steaming out of the pot when she added more water from the river, and afraid that she would accidentally spread out the fire, she immediately put it out as Vlad was unfortunate enough to be the first one to notice her cooking shenanigans.
"Is the food ok?" He asked with a worried expression.
"Ah, you've arrived just in time!" Farnese patted the floor next to her and invited her crush for a seat and a taste of her meal. "I've just got done cooking my first stew, and I want to see how it tastes compared to everyone else's cookings."
"Usually the women in the group are the ones with profficiency in cooking, not the men." Vlad chuckled. "I have no qualms with your inexperience, it took me a while to have my food taste like something when I was starting out too."
"That's nice. I take it I shouldn't feel too bad about my first try then." She poured some of the stew on a bowl and gave it to Vlad.
