You all exchanged resolute nods before heading inside. And as soon as you entered, you could already tell that this was going to be a strange night.
Sitting behind a desk was a tall, slender young woman with dark skin and short, kinky hair. She wore a black leather jacket and a plain tan shirt underneath. When she looked up to meet your eyes, you immediately noticed that ehrs weren’t normal. Her irises were blood red, and her sclera were like a pitch black abyss. She was a vampire for sure. But by the time that you had figured out what she was, Cindy was already pouncing on her.
Her eyes went wide as the little hellraiser brandished a silver knife and lunged at her. Luckily, Matt managed to grab hold of her and pull her back before anything serious happened. She was no longer typing away at her computer, and was now probing for the intercom on her desk without taking her eyes off of any of you. When she found the recording button, she firmly pressed it and leaned in to speak.
“Marc, you’ve got visitors.” she announced. Long minutes passed with no response, and Cindy had finally started to calm down. The woman pressed the button again. “Jake? Steve…?”
You all started looking around as she fidgeted uncomfortably. The more you relaxed, the more this seemed like a normal old waiting room. You didn’t think there was an ambush waiting for you on the other side of that door either.
The woman sighed deeply and pressed the button one final time. “Mr. Knight?” she said questioningly.
“Yes, Reese?” answered a tranquil voice on the other end of the line.
The woman called Reese rolled her eyes and let out a long, suffering sigh. “You’ve got visitors, asshole.”
“Wonderful. Send in the girl.” he replied, seemingly taking no offense to her slight.
Reese’s dark eyes fixed on Cindy for a long moment, and she gestured for her to enter the room further down the hall. By this point, Cindy had calmed down considerably, no longer foaming at the mouth and stabbing at empty air. Matt set her down gently and she started walking towards the door.
What will you do/say?
>Let her go. She and this “Moon Knight” probably have a lot to talk about.>Go with her. There’s no way that you’re letting her be alone in a room with this guy.>Stop her. You want this “Mr. Knight” to come out and meet you in the reception area.>”What’s a vampire doing working as a receptionist?”>”You wouldn’t happen to have any refreshments, would you?”>”Sorry about that. She doesn’t know many nice vampires.”>Write-in.Pastebins:
