>>5656574On the screen turned towards the young woman are tens of thousands of Messerschmitt Bf-109 fighters lined up opposite Hawker Hurricane fighters.
“No way. Where did, when....How?” Viktoriya asks you, shocked by what she's seeing as she can't look away. “How many...?”
“Seventy four thousand, five hundred eighty four fighters in total.” you tell her, unable to suppress your grin. Divided evenly, that gives each 'faction' for the battle tomorrow-”
“Thirty seven, two ninety two!” Visha shouts, surprising you a bit with how quickly she calculated that.
“Precisely. With what you already know of the battlefield, with those numbers in the air as well, she will have nowhere to hide.” you reply, preparing to turn the monitor back. But see that Serebryakov is actually studying the fighters, noticing immediately that they aren't quite like the ones from back home. “I see you've noticed.”
“What's with those cockpits? A pilot won't be able to see out of those narrow slits.” she comments, brows furrowed. “Are there cameras mounted around the vehicles?”
“Yes, but even more importantly, they aren't crew-piloted vehicles.” you tell your assistant. “There will be piloted remotely, by an artificial intelligence connected to all of the fighters simultaneously.”
“Wait, all of them? What system can handle that many fighters in a battlefield?” she asks, curious.
“I called in a favor.” you say, then unable to contain your triumph explain further. “This fleet was produced by none other than Freeza's cousin Arctus at his droid factory.”
“Arctus? Lord Freeza's cousin Arctus?” she asks, stunned. “The one who built that massive spaceship?”
“Indeed. By using the blueprints of the vehicles from our world as starting blocks, he was able to adapt the designs of his Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droids, or as he calls them his “Vulture Droids to these body designs.” you tell her, growing in confidence as her face remains shocked. “As the battle's about to start he'll begin releasing some of the ships, no more than a few hundred at a time. But making sure to keep the numbers up, no matter how many are shot down.”
“You're always one step ahead!” Visha exclaims excitedly, smiling happily. “This is why you really earned that title of Goddess of Strategy! No one can out-plan you!”
“I hope so.” you mutter, unheard by the woman in front of you as you try and stifle your worry gnawing at your guts. Something still isn't right, even with this secret weapon there still isn't a one hundred percent chance you'll be the one to come out on top in this battle. When suddenly you feel the familiar sensation of divine intervention, time stopping around you. “Oh, great. It's you.”
