Only after twenty minutes of wandering the frozen maze, did Kenai pause. "She is nearby..." She said, raising her hand before pointing ahead. You stuck close to her, your men all pausing their conversations as you would slowly but surely walk down a more narrow hallway. The sides were lined with larger test chambers. Some of the chambers appeared to be underwater, presumably being designed to replicate arctic waters. Though eventually, you reached a large chamber which was even more icy than other chambers. In fact, the chamber contained these large spires and pillars of ice crystals, furniture and other objects. The entire place seemed surprisingly nice, despite it all being made out of ice. In the centre of the room, you saw what appeared to be a large packet of pristinely white ice. You couldn't see through it at all. Though as Kenai approached it, you heard it cracking and watched as extremely cold air suddenly rushed from it. It was almost like a fog started filling the room, as Kenai took a step back. You heard a soft yawn, as the cold air made your men raise their weaponry in response.
From the large ice structure, you soon saw a large figure appear. She looked to be a bit taller than Kenai and Katya, the figure stretching her arms before looking over you with her piercing pinkish red eyes. “Kenai, it has been a while and...” She glared at you and your men, before speaking with a somewhat more sceptical voice. “It seems you brought friends.” The fog of ice would move to the side as the ice oni looked down at you with a distrusting gaze. “I presume you are not here to kill me, despite you pointing those... terrible things at my face. Must you grace a lady with such a vicious presence without any proper introductions between us?” Your men were already lowering their guns, having only raised them to make sure that she was the subject you were looking for, and not some kind of threat.
>What do you do next?
>Introduce yourself in a calm and friendly manner. From the sound of things, Anesa was another Viridian-like subject: Haughty, self-assured and soft-spoken. As such, introducing yourself in a formal way would get you in her good graces in no time. (Write in how you introduce yourself.)
>Give Anesa the honour to introduce herself first. It was rude to right away talk about yourself, when she presumably was more than eager to explain who she herself was.
>Ask Anesa some questions about this place, who she was or intel she might find useful. Intel was what you were here for, after all. (Write in what you ask her.)
>Give Anesa something to right away gain her trust. Maybe Evander could share some of his moonshine, or you could answer some of her own questions to gain her trust? (Write in what you give to her.)
>Ask Kenai to do the talking on your behalf. She knew Anesa best, so she could hopefully give a positive impression of you to her. (Write in what you ask Kenai to say.)
>Discuss with your men...
>Something else...
