“Good fight. Terrible finale.” you said in a flat tone.
Mary marginally moved her shoulders up just enough for you to register the movement as a shrug. Even that much was impressive, considering your current position.
“I don’t know. I thought it was rather…explosive!” she said, suggestively raising her eyebrows. “You must’ve been pretty pent up.”
“Boo!” you called out, trying your damnedest to give her a thumbs down. You just couldn’t swing it. “Sorry to get it all in your hair like that; gonna be a real pain to wash out, I bet. Still, I swear this doesn’t usually happen.” you insisted. “You bust a guy’s balls like that at the end of every little tête-à-tête like this, or just the ones where you don’t finish on top?”
Her eyebrows rose slightly, and her bloody grin widened. “Depends on how I’m feeling. I like to keep ‘em guessing.” she said, batting those long eyelashes at you. Absently, you noticed that she was burning through this webbing far faster than you were. She would probably be freed before you were.
A sharp stabbing pain brought you out of your thoughts and directed your attention to…everywhere! FUCK! Was this another telekinetic attack? You swear, if she tried to-
It was over as soon as it began, however, and as the pain faded, you heard the clattering of glass and metal hitting the asphalt.
“Hold still and stop squirming!” she demanded, her face scrunched up in concentration. “It’s not easy to pull the glass out without them splintering.”
She was…pulling the shrapnel out? That was surprisingly nice of her. Either she really did like you, or she just didn’t want to lose a decent sparring partner.
You opened your mouth to thank her, but all that came out was a shrill scream that you aren’t particularly proud of. That last shard of glass was long!

A few minutes later, Mary was almost out, and you were a little more than halfway free. Most of that was due to Flint’s efforts, you were sure, as you heard some rather curious tearing sounds all around you. He’d been worried that you might have suffocated as well, but you reassured him by sounding off every now and again.
Mary confirmed that the rest of Kingpin’s men had gotten caught up in the attack, along with their vehicles. They weren’t going anywhere, and only time would fix that when the webbing finally dissolved.
Among Mary’s myriad of superhuman abilities, it didn’t appear that an accelerated healing factor was one of them. She was still badly hurt. So much so that you were having trouble figuring out how she was still conscious. She just seemed to…ignore her injuries.
“Does this mean that you and your boys will back off?” you asked.
