“I'm not accusing anyone.” you clarify, holding up both hands to signal non-verbally that you're not threatening the Zoldyck family. “I'm merely letting you know what is happening, before I get back in touch with Milluki. He's still the one handling your net security and functionality, isn't he?”
“He is.” Zeno says, still poised like a serpent about to strike, very careful and measured in his responses.
“Good. Once I've caught him up to speed and he's aware of his security measures being beaten, we can work together to apprehend our little rat.” you tell them, keeping your tone calm and businesslike despite the occasional buzzed slur at the end of a word slipping through. “He can set one of his devious traps through the server there, then once I run the rat back into the trap, he can snap it shut. We'll have the bastard then.”
“An older trap, but if one has grown complacent in their routine it can prove fatal.” Silva says, looking to his father for the final say. “What do you think, Dad?”
“I think it is an excellent idea.” Zeno says, a dangerous gleam coming to his eye. “Knowing that enough of those Lin Kuei managed to escape us to rebuild their organization is quite annoying. I'd rather have this wrapped up quickly and quietly, as soon as possible.”
“Agreed. Especially since they've teamed up with an unknown number of former Covenant as well.” you tell them, raising the stripped down metal head of one of these 'Cyber' Sangheilli as well. “The sooner we're rid of all of these mechanical abominations, the better.”
“I see, that explains it. No wonder so many escaped us.” Zeno says, his voice thoughtful. “Best to clear out these remnants sooner, rather than later. Allowing them to fester and grow could only spell trouble for us all in the long run.”
“Very well. I'm sending you over to Milluki now.” Silva says, the screen goes dark again. You sigh out, taking another deep pull from your can of cheap stuff to help you focus on the job at hand. The easy part's over, now the real work begins.
Except your screen stays black. For over a minute no one answers, then just as you're about to get annoyed and do something the screen comes back to life. You see the pudgy, out-of-shape face of the Zoldyck boy, Milluki.
