I have had a Eureka Moment!
Everyone, I think we are overestimating the problem and there is a simple solution to convince them to worship the Machine God
So first off, we wont be the only one intentionally changing the terran culture and including religion. Leman Russ met his terran sons and made them pass Space Wolf trials and now they all believe in Fenrisian lore. The Khan was worried at first, but in time all his sons were of Chogoris style and also believed in their faith. Lorgar is the exception because uniquely the Emperor wanted them to be anti superstition, but for most of the other legions they were palpable and didnt bite into the Imperial Truth so hard unless their Primarchs enforced it.
Why you ask?
I bet most of you are thinking our other space marines are from civilized worlds, rational and raised in reason. But that's canonically wrong. Do you know where all space marine legions came from? From Terra. The land of the Techno-Barbarian. The unification wars were only a matter of years ago.
Its mentioned when Horus complained to the Emperor that he was concerned Russ savage people could be space marines, and the Emperor replied "you mean like the Technobarians and vicious Cythonian Gansters that make up yours?". These astartes are only barely uplifted from that barbaric culture.
Heres the kicker. We can appeal to the vestiges of their heritage. Remind them that they and their ancestors once sought technology on the blighted earth, to graft it into their bodies, but because they lacked understanding they were shunned by the Red Priests of Mars. I'm sure many a time they have coveted that tech that escaped them.
We offer them a new chance to gain that understanding they and their ancestors have sought their entire lives and those of their forefathers. It isnt their identity we will rebirth, but that of their clans and tribes. They can even name some of their chapters after the old tribes. No longer Techno-Barbarians, but Techno-Warriors in the name of the Machine God.
I'm going to make an add green text thing
>>add to write-in: Appeal to our Terran sons heritage as Technobarians, to honor the struggle of their ancestors
>>Talos: "when you look the other legions in their limited two eyes, you can tell your former tribesmen 'My ancestors smile upon me "Imperial". Can you say the same?'
