The tower we saw, it must had been a kilometer high. It was... undulating, moving like a gelatinous mass. Throbbing like it possessed a heartbeat. This indescribable mass had a fleshy overture with its slick sounds and interior churning. Vibrating and humming with power. Sparks came off of it like a burning fire, along with wavy bristles that rose and receded across the body. It was planted into the icy ground that was visibly cracked around its thick base like a plant struck into the soil or lodged deep inside.
[JENK] "It's... it's absorbing energy."
'From Hainei?'
[JENK] "From the Leylines scattered among Kalaheimr. In fact..."
Jenk briefly knelt and touched the frosty ground beneath our feet.
[JENK] "...it is directly above a Leyline."
He rose to his feet and looked to me, too afraid to stumble closer and touch it.
[JENK] "Whatever it is, it was put here with purpose. Whoever is responsible for this thing knows about the Leylines. This... grisly mass is trying to suck up the energy of Natural Disaster that Bedolfir loads into the Leylines."
'But... why...? And why here, in Kalaheimr?'
