hehe I know BananasQM dislikes me ever since I exposed his secret Regressus ad Uterum psychological weakness, his desire to CRAWL BACK INSIDE THE OCEAN WOMB (let's be honest, who here would not want this?) it is ok it is not that embarrassing entirely normal according to Freudian psychoanalytic theory
https://archived.moe/qst/thread/6213393/#6230862but I want to offer some serious recommendations for musical SOUNDTRACKs to BananasQM game settings, despite the fact that his game style is not always my preferred game approach or art aesthetic (especially when they feature GAY AMBUSCADEs argh nooo not the gay) I do actually respect BananasQM relentless game commitment, his control over the narrative (if it is sometimes slightly overbearing in my opinion) and whilst I lambasted the bildungsroman approach previously lol
>>6333306 generally BananasQM narrative cadence of the naive childlike? young hero protagonist conforms very well to rpg storytelling as opposed to my understanding of the bildungsroman storytelling pattern (which is mostly tragically informed by Goethe's Lotte handing Werther some duelling pistols hehe)
And I also want to commend BananasQM deployment of the MORAL PURPOSE in his games I was ecstatically enthused when he created this thematic MORAL CHOICE over competition/altruism in his space monkeys quest here,
>>6308927>"how do you feel about competition...?" etc>>6309349This was tremendously satisfying for me to read I momentarily experienced the quivering jubilation of an ECONOMIC ORGASM when I read these paragraphs, this must have been how Thomas Schelling felt every time he wrote some game theoretic payoff matrices about nuclear bombs, I had to calm myself down afterwards it was just far too exciting
So I want to greatly commend and applaud BananasQM skillful deployment of MORAL PURPOSE themes around altruism vs competition, conflict behaviour in his game setting, even if it was mostly a fable about fish children or something, it was very impressive
Anyway, in terms of music choice these are just my ideas, music is very personal and people do not always like it hehe.
But I recently heard this piece, it is from the Falconeer (I have not played it) this is the only good song lol but I thought it would be fitting for BananasQM BLACK OCEAN setting
This Cold Unending Blighted Landscape, The Falconeer OST
