TalOS took a moment of solace as he watched the planet quickly be consumed by the flames. The Mechanicum had just played one of its greatest cards for a victory that felt soured. For some reason he felt sickened as he watched the virus take the planet but held off on making a comment. After all, it was the most logical decision to make sure that the majority of his fleet survived to lay siege to the home system of the Mitu.
As the planet burned the vast majority of the Xenos fleet quickly changed their demeanor. Many of them began to shut down as the aura of the Blackstone Fortress consumed the entire system once again. Others were lucky, fleeing out into the stars in all directions in some vain hope of escaping the Mechanicum. Only a few would succeed, TalOS knew, and they would become pirates that preyed upon Federation vessels until they were ultimately destroyed.
That was later though. TalOS needed to win this war. Even if he had to reveal one of the greatest weapons the Mechanicum had to offer.
If it was done correctly all around the sector the Mechanicum released this to Mitu's surprise. That meant that their home world was within the Mechanicum’s reach.
The final chapter of the war was upon them.
>Organize a Harassment campaign against the Mitu so that their defenses are weakened for the main assault.
>Strike with a massive spearhead. They definitely cannot hold back the entire Reconquista fleet at one location.
>Surround and collapse. They simply cannot cover all angles of attack.
