While you wait you decide to show them around the apartment. Starting in the room you are in, you have your bed, a desk with your computer along with some gaming systems, a dresser where you keep your clothes and linens, and a closet where you have some old empty boxes and coats you barely wear.
Then there is the kitchenette and eating area. There is a small oven, as well as a dishwasher and a fridge along with a table. It's a bit cramped, but it's all you need.
and across from that the washer/dryer and bathroom.
"Yes, yes." The egg says nodding with a grin after you shut the bathroom door. "No swords or guns or anything? Slice of life, huh? Well, that'll work for now I guess."
The microwave dings, so out come the wings.
You have the newborn sit at the table. You use the towel that was wrapped around the eggshell as a sort of mat, and place the plate of wings on it.
The Changeling takes a little nibble at the meat first, but the end of putting away five of the seven wings.
"Chicken huh... I think I remember seeing some of those in the anime. And cows too!
You say you have so much more you want to show them. Western animations, and video games for sure. Maybe a bit of educative material.
"I wanna explore though! We can pause the shows and books, but there is only sun for so long and then the ghosts and oni and stuff come out... Can we go outside before night time?"
