Doc has installed a few new security measures. The top floor of the apartment is now completely missing from the elevator, making it impossible for one to stumble upon it. You press a few buttons in succession in order to restore access to the penthouse, then transport yourself upwards.
The hallway is covered in sensors and laser tripwires that you can only see with your goggles on.

Phascomon emerges and begins cutting through the wiring. Plenty of the traps are meant to emit constant streams of data, that only Digimon can interact with. That means a Digimon has to be present to defuse them in the first place. Doc has given you a guide to navigating the minefield of security features, but you’re still nervous about triggering the wrong function.
Fortunately, Phascomon knows what he’s doing. You get to the door and scan your Digivice in order to enter.
“Marnie. Back so soon!” He cries, as soon as you trail into the living room. He’s currently tinkering with a network terminal, and next to it is the same cable that you used on Bella.
“Hey, Doc. You working on lifel1ne?”
"Yes. I've got the new iteration prepared. This one should see somebody safely through the Network. Of course, if they're being pursued, it may not-"

He pauses his work to look at you, an expression of pleasant surprise across his half-metal face.
"You did! Wonderful! Have a seat."
One of the Kokuwamon brings snacks over. You recognize him as the one who Digivolved into Mekanorimon, and reach out to pat him gently. The horns atop his head are crackling with lightning, so you end up gently stroking his squarish cheeks with the back of your hand.
"You guys holding up okay in here?"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"YES. FUN. WANT TO DIGIVOLVE."</span></span> He complains.
"I haven't been able to take them outside. There's no safe time to. That's why I'm working on this."
He pats the terminal. Once it's up and running, he should be able to send his Digimon on Network errands like before, which will give them valuable combat experience. You chew on a cookie while recalling the events of your expedition.
"So, let's hear about your mission."
