From what I imagine the planet would be like, it's mainly desert ranges and mesas in the equatorial regions, akin to the Southwest US, perhaps with a very low river cutting through canyons, then finding scattered greenery, small forests and such further to either pole, until it terminates with a large glacier capping both ends. Very western feeling, which would make a bit of sense to me, considering we're far off into Wild Space, away from what we once thought of as civilization. It brings to my mind Dead Horse Point in Utah, at least around the equatorial regions. Great place, the views are so damn pretty I got a bit overwhelmed with the sight and had to sit down a bit.
