Rogal Dorn’s words were like a dam being shattered. None would have ever thought that Rogal Dorn would outright counter the orders and plan laid before him by their Father, yet here he was. It was enough to stir other into action.
“I agree with Dorn.” The Lion said quickly after his brother, “It should be us who fight the traitorous brother. This is a trap, and if it kills you then my arrival here would have been useless!”
“I affirm their words.” Constantin Valdor argued soon after the Lion, “Without Malcador, we can lose everything.”
The Emperor looked upon his sons and warrior for a moment. He weighed each of their words within the immense mind of his being, which had quickly become a debate between souls that were far beyond the comprehension of most within the room. The Omnissiah knew this, of a little vague on the details.
“Horus will not fall to just anyone.” The Emperor told everyone within the room, “It will be I, his creator, who will kill him.”
Authority beyond their wildest dreams with little room for counters. The Motive Force and the Warp valued such statements of power. It resonated for a moment before solidifying in Truth.
The Emperor will kill Horus Lupercal. None can deny it now.
The Omnissiah pitied his brothers and colleague for trying to turn the mind of a god-like tyrant. Now that the Emperor has imprinted his declaration upon reality it cannot be shaken. No one except him will have the ability to kill the War Master.
That was the main point of his plan, the Omnissiah knew. What it left was one thing to be changed, “Father, I wish to express that I do not wish to join you on the assault upon the Flagship. My battle will be here, upon Terra.”
Eyes turned to him with wonder and surprise. Almost all failed ot understand why he would reject the honor of being placed upon the spearhead going for the Arch-Traitor. They could not understand it.
“I agree.” Sanguineous declared in support.
