>>5249515You make up your mind quickly. While that Sniper is on the field, your mobility, as well as Kate’s is cut drastically. If anyone has got to go first, it’s him. The others can deal with those cavaliers in the meantime. You relay your plan to Kate, who nods along.
“Tell me who to hit, and they’re dead.” She says.
>Kate is assisting you, attacking any target you attack. You can only use your Bolting spell one more time, so you decide to make it count. Summoning the magic within you, you once again bring forth heavy storm clouds that darken the area. Feeling the power welling up inside you, you let loose a torrent of magical energy, directing the bolt outward. To your side, you feel a gust of wind as Kate launches upwards into the air. Your target settled, the lightning shoots past your allies and the front line of the enemy’s forces, some of whom duck out of the way. The hapless Sniper is unable to react in time and is blasted directly by the siege magic. While you’re unable to kill him in one shot like you had done previously, he’s badly hurt. Before he can recover, a shadow from above engulfs him. The man looks up to see Kate making a divebomb towards him, her spear cutting him down the middle. As swiftly as she made her descent, she then shoots back upwards, away from the Demonic Beast and armored soldier.
>10 XP Gained! (75/100)With the Sniper dealt with, you should have free reign to take flight without having to worry about being picked off by the enemy’s arrows. The enemy’s cavaliers, meanwhile, have been bogged down trying to break through Edelgard and Caspar’s superior defenses. The Paladin engaging Caspar retreats after sustaining damage. The one fighting Edelgard attempts to do the same, however before he can, Hubert summon forth powerful dark magic the likes of which you have yet to see. Dozens of dark spikes materialize around the Paladin before they all instantaneously swarm their target. The man and his horse explode in a large chunk of gore, unable to withstand the devastatingly effective dark magic Hubert employed.
The rest of the enemy inches closer, ready to collide fully with your frontline. Both Demonic Beasts are chomping at the bits to devour your friends. They look as tough as the ones you saw earlier, but without the effective might of the Sword of the Creator, taking these down won’t be as simple of a task.
