>>5238398Yes this was me in evil DM mode anon. I know it is a bit punishing, but I explain the logic to it here: (situational awareness)
https://archive.wakarimasen.moe/qst/thread/5157232/#q5163874I genuinely wanted to see how anons would react with inadequate incomplete information - this is the essence of vampire sorcery. Some of the quests were deliberately structured as they were to be unfair. I think one anon for instance mentioned something like: in the Exchange / Eschatonomist / Merchant Sorceror trading quest, you gave us no time! There was no information to make the decision, everything happened so quickly! Unfortunately when I read this, I realised anons were not adepts in vampire sorcery, and probably out of their depth. So in Golgotha I made it deliberately modern (skyscraper, charities, CEOs etc) to contextually situate it a bit more, sadly it did not help that much lol.
If there was a theme to many of my quests, it was:
- do not trust what people tell you - think about what represents your own interests. Be very suspicious when people are portrayed as Good or Evil. In nearly all my quests there was misdirection and things were not as they seem. Several quests had a theme of giving you orders; if you followed them blindly, you died. And all actions had consequences, violence had to be applied very selectively - for otherwise it rebounds upon you.
Finally vampire sorcery is obviously investment management lol, as this anon came close to ascertaining.
>>5235859>>5235861>>5235895It mainly involves using a Bloomberg Terminal / "horrifying altar of human sacrifice" and "bargaining with demons" / meeting and interrogating CEOs, to outperform a benchmark and deliver a superior risk-adjusted return. I did this for 13 years, but in the great conspiracy of money I was merely an inconsequential person. However meeting all those people gave me some insights, some opinions as to how the world arrived at where it is today. You don't have to agree with them, you may think they are wrong or unfair - this is just the world as I experienced it, and how I try to portray it in my quests.
