You hear <span class="mu-i">sounds</span>, of course. Rustling in the bushes, snapping twigs, and of course the not-so-distant howls of what you hope are just normal animals… but you know better by now.
After what feels like hours, but was probably just minutes, you finally arrive at a cliff overlooking a massive clear-cut section of the forest at the base of one of the island’s central mountains. Behind a rusty, but still daunting <span class="mu-s">BARBED WIRE FENCE</span> sits a cluster of what you <span class="mu-i">hope</span> are deserted <span class="mu-s">PORTABLE WORK BUNGALOWS</span>--the types you always see at construction sites.
The <span class="mu-s">MINE ENTRANCE,</span> you wager, is nestled within a colossal cleft in the crag ahead. As you prepare to head down to the fence, something clicks in your brain that prompts you to take out <span class="mu-s">PEPPER’S CAMERA</span> and use it for some <span class="mu-s">RECON!</span>
“So?” Asks Raj as you use the zoom function to get a better look, “Whaddaya see?”
Not much, you grunt, unsure whether to be relieved or worried, you don’t see any critters roaming around, but…
“But?” Frowns Rodney as he moves to snatch the camera out of your hands. He fails.
<span class="mu-i">But</span>, you continue, that’s just it–it’s almost TOO quiet.
“Well good!” Rodney replies with mild impatience in his tone, “Then let’s get in there <span class="mu-i">BEFORE</span> it gets <span class="mu-i">un</span>quiet, yea?”
Easier said than done. If you <span class="mu-i">were</span> gonna get in, how would you go about doing it?
