Then King looked upon Lucian with the widest smile a man of his position could hold. A glee only held in by his status of a ruler amongst men. As he walked forward he spoke his mind easily enough, “Lucian of Bretonnia, I welcome you to the meeting of the Lords! My friend here had told me once before of the events before the sudden fleeing of Norscans. For sending them all to flight, Albion thanks you!”
The room once again gave a mighty cheer to the words of their Lord. Each of them giving a right amount of gusto to make their voices heard amongst each other. Lucian allowed himself to bask in their adoration for he rarely had the chance amongst his common man.
“I thank you for such accolades, King Geralt. I thank you for the sudden welcome you have given to me and I hope that we may join you in this celebration!” Lucian announced.
“Aye, go ahead!” Spoke the King forthright, “Bring out the beer and venison! Today we have a Hero of Albion here to dine with!”
Everything moved at once it seemed. Everyone was soon consuming as much meat as they could while also drinking as much of the local spirits they could. Bok and Tee-Nee-Tyny were eating much of the venison, their carnivorous teeth making short work of the tender meat presented to them as champions.
For Adok, a Dwarf who had not taken a drink of ale in so long, did not have a single drop. Instead the Dwarf had disappeared towards what Lucian noted was the Blacksmith’s forge. With a King’s welcome it would not be hard to commission the forge for his own use.
Same disappearance went for the Elf. She had taken almost as many eyes as Lucian had when she had walked in, but like the winds she was gone.
Lucian was now standing amongst the Baron and King Geralt. In his hand was a splint of venison and beer the Knight was now dining with those of similar standing. The other two did not seem too put off by the presence of a Grail Knight, but Lucian could tell that they were watching his every action even when they did not want to. They simply could not take their eyes off the Demi-God amongst their mortal kind.
“Lucian.” The King said as he gave a relieved grin, “For nearly a decade we had been fighting those chaos bastards and they had eaten two armies. When Mann had brought onto our island the sea monster I thought even the Gods had given up on us. I am so blessed to have been wrong.”
“I am glad that I can be a blessing to you.” Lucian said as he slammed his hand into his chest, “Trust me when I speak that not all gods are on the same note.”
