Her other arm had not yet grown back and the snack itself does nothing to curb the everpresent hunger horror imposed by the heavens, but the novelty of eating food like an actual human relieves the stresses of daily life.
She had spent the last hour touring of the settlement and had found it to be rather uninteresting in terms of amenities barring the occasional relic put up for sale by the merchants. Even more unfortunately, it was in the waning hours of the Crucible's nighttime cycle so many stores that would be open were closed. So Sathriel focused on the case plaguing the settlement and asked Solomon and Yan Wong to interview the residents who were still awake for information about the ongoing serial theft case. There she waited for the two to arrive with their initial findings which left the Arbiter with nothing to do.
She was one hours into waiting and halfway through her bag of sunflower seeds when Solomon and Yan Wong returned to give their report.
"The thefts began quite some time ago when Grizzie returned one day heavily wounded from a battle. She was rescued by Lisa the Flesh Artisan who recently immigrated to this village at around the same time frame. No one apparently thought of it at the time as the only things that were stolen were tier 1 relics. Consumables and knicknacks could be easily replaced with the village forge, but over time the thief grew bolder until one night it made a mistake and revealed its class identity." reported Solomon.
"Was anything stolen that night?" Asked Sathriel.
"A Porcubus Prankster. It's owner is a Flesh Artisan by the name of Petunia."
"Any witnesses?"
"Only one, Grizzie the chief officer. However the theft took place during the Crucible's nighttime hours so she couldn't get a clear view. Nor could she capture it as the skintalker had cast a inhibiting spell that blinded Grizzie and kept her from pursuing. Soon after, the council held a quick meeting and passed rule that prohibited skintalking. All residents have to wear the relic that is currently on your person under the reason that this would inhibit the thief's ability to continue further thefts."
"And yet it continued despite that." Sathriel concluded. "Are there any relics that have not been stolen by the thief?"
This time it was Yan Wong that stepped forward to report. "Since the thefts began, security on the storehouse has been tight and the village have been keeping a ledger to keep track of which relics are stored and which ones have been withdrawn. The ones that have been currently withdrawn from the storehouse are Grizzie's "Living Sandbag", Lisa's Remembrance whistle, Forge Mistress Petunia's Forge Core, Mayor Millie's set of three Screamer Sacs, as well as a few other knickknacks."
