"I always got the feeling my parents felt like that, even if they'd rather tell me otherwise and act like it. I admit, they're still helping me, even as an adult. It made things a little distanced, but I've been getting back in touch with them. They liked it that I'd been trying to devote myself."
<span class="mu-i">"Does talking about this kind of stuff... ever make you feel... pathetic?"</span>
You were startled a bit then, not by her choice of wording, but by her accuracy in wording. To that, you only nodded your head.
"It does. But, I'll get over it. Things will get better."
You rose from being seated on the steps, taking a look up, and now dawning it upon yourself the difficulty that would come in getting the wheeled cart up the flight.
"Can I tell you something else?" You say, looking back down at her.
<span class="mu-i">"Does it have to do with Gensokyo?"</span>
Smart girl.
"Yeah. I bet you already saw this coming, but given the dreams I told you about of mine, Gensokyo is like... a new aperture. It's like what I always wanted. To see the world. Well, even if it isn't my world, it's still a world. And, I want to see it. I want to see as much as I can, Reimu!"
She nodded her head and smiled lightly at that expression, rising from the steps herself.
<span class="mu-i">"You know, you may linger for as long as you want, but in the end, there's always going to be those who seek to send you back, or claim your life. Knowing this still, do you truly wish to explore Gensokyo?"</span>
"I do. And... I want to help you guys too, like you've helped me! I... I want to do my part, and pull my weight, whenever I can!" You tell her earnestly.
<span class="mu-i">"Aren't you doing enough of that yourself already?"</span> She says, glancing to the cart you carried.
"Hahah! You know what I mean, Reimu."
<span class="mu-g">"There's something else nagging at your thoughts, student."</span>
"Huh...?!"
