“But why would Dumplin help them?” Broly asks, looking extremely worried. “We were so close, you had her!”
“No. I beat her, but they would have taken her back sooner or later.” you reply to your son, reaching up to him as well and ruffling his hair. “Nice try, but you're not ready to fight Ultra Instinct.”
“So, that's what he was using.” your son replies, looking thoughtful. “I couldn't even sense him starting to move, no aggression, nothing.”
“Ultra Instinct is impressive, but not any moreso than what your father achieved.” a voice you've already heard once today says, but the tone and inflection are slightly different. You turning, seeing none other than the REAL Mechikabura standing there. “Dark Space.”
A wave of darkness spreads out from his staff, blocking out the light and forming a space of dimness, one where you can barely see his face. Then to your surprise, he holds his staff out to the side, bowing a bit to you.
“Forgive me, but I was... Occupied earlier, and unable to come to your assistance.” the Demon God says, his tone apologetic. “And, congratulations are in order. I can sense that you've finally done it.”
“Done it?” you ask, not knowing what he means. However, someone else has something more urgent to tell him.
“What's more important than my father taking down THE Supreme Kai of Time?!” Broly asks, noticeable heat in his tone. And that's when you realize that you can feel your Berserker God power being siphoned off towards him, his anger rising by the second. “And why the hell weren't you here to help?! If you'd joined us, we could have won!”
“Broly!” Meloka snaps, but the Demon God simply holds up a hand to your wife, addressing Broly directly.
“No, no. His points are fair, miss goddess.” he replies casually, no hint of anger or even annoyance in his tone. “But while she was here, I was able to sneak back into Conton City itself.”
And then, from behind his cloak come several dark red orbs, each one with several black stars visible within them.
“Hold on. Are those...?” you ask, unable to finish the sentence. To which Mechikabura only smirks in response, a very satisfied look on his face.
“Thanks to all the ruckus you caused, I was able to slip in and out undetected.” he replies, the orbs all flying back behind him and concealing themselves. “But now I must depart. My youth and power await. Soon, I shall reclaim my former glory and the power I once wielded, strength never before seen by this reality. And it's all thanks to you.”
