You decide to pick off the little bulborbs one by one- and then take on the big one.
Using your fast flower pikmin, you can lure the beasts away before swarming them with the rest of your Pikmin. You also learn a useful technique here- if you grab a pikmin by the stem and fling it with your arm, you can get quite a bit of distance. This actually helps more then you think- as you can throw pikmin on top of the larger beasts instead of forcing them to approach as an easily bitten-into swarm of bodies.
The decision to pick off the bulborbs one by one was a good one- the small creatures seem to give off an alarmed cry when attacked or in pain- if they were closer to the momma 'borb they'd probably wake it up.
As soon as the borbs are defeated, you notice the pikmin automatically picking up their bodies. While you could interrupt them with a well timed whistle, you decide to see what they do with it. Sure enough, they march the 'borbs back to the onion and it sucks them up- each granting another three seeds. Wow, you didn't realize Pikmin were carnivorous! Given how brutally they swarm anything bigger then themselves, you're really, really glad they see you as one of their own...
>>5405689You briefly think of using something to carry and store nectar for later given how useful fully matured flower pikmin are. Grass baskets come to mind. While not impossible- it seems a little complicated for even flower pikmin to understand. Plus, you'd think the nectar would go bad or be eaten overnight by some of the wild critters around here. You could suck up some in the cargo hold, but cleaning it out would be a real nightmare...
