With your moods slightly lifted, you get the flask from your backpack, open it and pour some of the oil on Datz's torch and yours. You suck at building your own fires, so you pass the flint to your buddy and let her do the task. She strikes it against the wall to create a spark - as soon as it has contact with her torch's upper end, it is instantly engulfed in fire! It was so sudden and startling that the two of you almost drops your sticks!
Giggling nervously, she repeats the process with your own torch. You fear that the handles may get consumed by the flames and burn your hands… but to your great surprise, the balls of fire stay on only one of the stick's ends. How do these things even work? Torches are awesome. You gotta hand it to dwarves - their inventions are pretty interesting.
