Just as many times before TalOS enjoyed the Corpse Starch that was before him. The room that he and Sanguinius found themselves in was the Workshop of his parents, his mother once again giving them the glorious meal she gave to each of his brothers.
TalOS had to wonder for a moment what she thought about that. These brothers he had were not of her blood. But then again he was not truly of her blood either and instead that of the Emperor.
TalOS looked over to see Sanguinius taking his own serving in a gingerly fashion. A careful consumption that displayed more caution that any real amount of manners showed TalOS. As for the reasoning for that TalOS suspected, for he knew the state his brother’s Legion is currently suffering from. Such information was hard to guard when many of the Tech Priests among their ranks had to occasionally use the Proelitors as bodyguards against those that suffered from a blood rage.
When TalOS finished his current serving he decided to state something for another matter, “My Brother, my apologies if my presence is harmful to you. You are in a good deal of pain just being this close to me, I can feel it.”
Sanguinius allowed a surprised look to be furnished upon his face to answer TalOS’s words, “How long did you know?”
“From the moment you walked up to me.” TalOS told his brother as he extended a hand for a visual demonstration, “As you stand before me I gain a taste of your soul, and that taste tells me what you are currently thinking or experiencing. Such an ability was an unexpected boon to what I am now.”
Sanguinius stopped eating now and placed his hands on his chin. He sat there in a deep study with his eyes examining every piece of what TalOS was now. The manner of scope was much more on the arcane reality than what was before.
“The rumors are true, you’ve severed yourself from the Warp.” The Angel said as his wings twitched for a moment in the pain he felt from looking so deeply into TalOS.
“It was my goal, and I succeeded in it.” TalOS answered his brother as he gave a hearty smile.
