If Vlad can acquire more power, then the more capable he will be in protecting those around him from causality, like Cindy, which is why I'm hoping Vlad goes through another training arc soon. The fight that nearly killed Vlad, while brutal, was a good reminder of how fragile his life is and how he should be carful in every situation, regardless of his opponent.
