>Call Olivia.
Lorene takes a deep breath, before dialing Olivia’s number. Best to just rip the band-aid off now. It rings a few times before she picks up.
“…hmph.”
Lorene blinks. “Olivia?”
The girl lets out another hmph. “You know, it’s not very nice to just leave your friend behind and run off.”
Lorene scratches her head. “Yeah, I know, I know. Sorry. Where are you? I’ll start heading over.”
“The question I’m more curious about is, where are you? Did you find some kind of lead or something?”
“Not… exactly. It was just something important that I had to take care of.”
“Gahhhh, that doesn’t answer anything!”
“It’s, uh,” Lorene really didn’t have a clue how to talk about Witches without seeming crazy. “Just trust me, I promise I’ll explain everything someday. Where are you?”
“I’m gonna ban that phrase from ever being used again, so you’d better come up with another way to say that. Well, since my friend just ran off without warning and completely disappeared for like half an hour, I decided to drop by the station where my dad works, to see if I could find out anything myself. Now I’m semi-grounded. And you kind of are too?”
“Huh?” Lorene pauses for a second. “What does that even mean?”
