>>5675886“Dragonborn!”
The Novice’s alarm-cry awakens you from your sword-admiring reverie. You look quickly to her, and see the Archer, Olu, roused and slowly rising to his feet with the Novice’s aid.
“Good, you have—”
You are cut short by both of your companions pointing behind you, where the <Wall of Stone> which your foes erected—and, indeed, much of the floor and the stones around it—have begun to dissolve into sand… Just as the floor of the cavern did before you were all trapped and brought to this place.
>95“It is back,” you murmur, recognizing the coming of… Something. A sorcerous master to these lumpy geological monstrosities? A more advanced form of the creatures? You aren’t certain. Whatever it is, you are facing it wounded, if you will face it at all.
Olu is at your side in an instant, bow in one hand and arrow in the other. Your <Radiant Aura> invigorates him, gives him purpose and confidence. Even the Novice Fleshweaver is quick to action under your influence—scooping up Ekaterine’s ‘dead weight’ in her arms.
“Do we fight, Dragonborn?” the Archer asks with a grin-hungry for battle, worthy as you are of serving the Serpent Ascendant.
“We do NOT!” the Novice asserts. “We LEAVE, and LIVE, and do NOT do anything stupid to risk undoing all the god work I just did getting you idiots ready to depart!”
What will you do?
