"Then do we keep pushing to east?" Seo asks, already scanning in that direction. "There might be more of them coming."
"A possibility, but if the trees prove insufficient cover, we'll suffer for it." Sayazade quickly responds. "I'd much rather attack. If we're careful in our approach, we can quickly kill the creatures directly before they fire... These damned fiends dared to attack my servants in my presence!"
"Those things aren't the only ones in those trees." Nilo brandishes her thin blade at the ready with her animal ears pointed directly upward. "I can hear human footsteps. Maybe three of them. They're all spread out!"
Of course those flesh creatures wouldn't be far away from handlers, and of course they would appear at the cusp of your group's rescue.... At the very least you were able to get most of the non-combatants out of the line of fire, but if you don't free yourselves with these horrid new beasts, the Vampyr won't have a clear path for their return. Ensuring that you no longer come under attack seems the most straightforward of plans, but there's no telling what the Sanctuary may have planned for you if you do. But making a run for it may leave you open for continued attack.
Your eyes drift downward to the abandoned sled. Charging toward them, or making for a retreat, however you choose to handle these beasts, you'll at least be able to block one of their barrages...hopefully. Between that, the hearing capabilities of the Elin, and Sayazade's flight, you hastily devise a plan.

Your group currently consists of Luca, Seo, Sayazade, Nilo, and Alys. All members have a weapon to attack, but Alys is unskilled in dagger use. Your attackers are concentrated in the northern line of trees, and in uncertain quantity with the town further beyond. With them lurking just out of sight, remaining where you stand will only lead to certain death.
