>>5599589This is cool and all but we post schizo theories in the thread all the time and you seem to incorporate correct theories into the next post anyway. Are you just formalising it?
>>5599588>Keep pace>Meditate on our scar>RuminationSomething I posted about in the previous thread, we know that Rinnier is still beloved of Salamander but Salamander cannot claim her for whatever reason, possibly something to do with the Nymphs wood that drove it from its throne. Now, if Rinnier was implanted with NW we'd certainly know about it since Lily has interacted with her on occasion. However, behold this spoiler from last thread.
>Dryad can tell the difference between itself and Nymph's Wood because it recognizes NW as an 'other'. Other Mana could not tell the difference between Dryad and NW because NW is Dryad's body, so they are one and the same.So what if Rinnier was implanted with the lobotomized body of Salamander? If this were the case, it'd explain why Salamander can't touch her, even if it still wants to. It'd explain why the reason for her condition eludes us still and not immediately pinging on Lily's radar. It'd even explain the idiosyncratic detail of Rinnier being at the centre of an anti Salamander zone in the same way the NW clipping formed an anti Dryad bubble around us in the Fae woods before we left it with Priatt to enter properly.
When they broke Dryad they had to scramble around for some way to separate the body and serve as an anchor point for life to exist without Dryad, but this time Artemis already knows how to do it beforehand so it can be more than a bootstrapped metaphysical pillar of fire: it can be a tool of subterfuge of great use in their campaign! It's perfect actually, barely anyone outside of Artemis even knows this shit exists and breaking contact between Salamander and his beloved this way could potentially be much easier and low profile than violent genocide against people who can cast fireball at will.
Like NW I imagine Salamander's fouled body will have a physical component to it from which the metaphysical field emanates, which means it can be removed by healers (of which there are many in our estate!)
>>5599622I bet Dryad revives them as soon as they're floated down the river. I wonder what happens to them.
