>>5733309I've actually had quite a long standing interest in running a Cape-Quest. I even included some elements in the previous monke thread.
This interst was spurred on, strangely enough, by that shitty live-service Gotham Knights game. Mostly in how the characters are all basically martial artist vigilantes who use gadgets instead of powers for the most part. Similar to the Arkam games with batman. I also had a weird inspiration from that games very slop-style crafting system, where critical resources to make your gadgets and equipment in the Quest would be limited- something like a post-covid supply chain shortage or a city under lock down such as in GTA IV. It would only apply to rare stuff, like titanium or carbon-nanotubes, to give your character some power progression that wasn't just learning new moves (if they even had powers in this quest concept).
I still kinda want to run a cape Quest with some of these elements, but I'm not super sure on the tone or mechanics, or if I'd even be good at it.
