“Hypatia.” Diogenes says. “I’d almost forgotten you were here. Of course, I’ll save you.”
The Sage extends one hand towards the trapped Agarthan, who suddenly vanishes from your hand. You instinctively take a step back at the sudden use of magic, only to see Hypatia reappear at Diogenes side.
“My lord!” She cries, getting on her knees and clutching at the Sage’s legs. “Thank you! Thank you so much!”
“You lying bitch! I thought you were going to help us!” Scratch yells out.
“Why would I ever help vermin like you?!” Hypatia spits. “We’re enemies! I hate you! I hate you so much it’s unfathomable! Humans are nothing more than our natural prey!” She gets to her knees and faces Diogenes. “My lord, I’m at your side. Let us vanquish these fools together!”
“That’s right.” Diogenes says. “I saved you from dying at the hands of these ‘vermin’ you hate so much. And now, you’ll help me defeat them.”

Something pulsates in his hand, from which you sense a dark energy growing heavy. “Truth be told, it’s a pleasure we have in common!” Hypatia weakly raises a hand towards the Sage, who merely sneers in contempt towards her.
“I have no need for failed experiments.” Diogenes says. “And I have no need for failed subordinates either!” The room grows impossibly cold, as if a harsh wind is somehow blowing in underground. Everything around you erupts in a torrent of loud noise. You can barely hear the Sage over the hollowing winds, but you’re certain that yourself, as well as your comrades are screaming. “The Forbidden Spell of Zahras shall envelop you all!” A dark void that seems to be consuming the entire room appears between you and Diogenes, and it begins growing larger. When you peer inside, you can see nothing but pitch darkness.
