In the inky black do nightmares find you, harrowing memories of being trapped beneath the sinking island. Unable to move, the enclosing darkness and crushing weight, slumber was the only option. Awaiting that fateful day that you might be free once again, even if it took a thousand years or more.
<span class="mu-b">"-uagh!"</span>
You jolt awake in fright, from darkness into darkness. For a few terrible moments you dread your imprisonment again, but the movement of the ocean around you doesn't lie. Too deep to see, but you smell and taste all around you and remember all that happened. Your escape, the ruins, the kraken.
<span class="mu-b">"Ah! Away you beasts, away!"</span>
Your mind struggles on its own to make sense of things in the darkness, but your stomach soon grips you stronger than anything. In your rest after the battle, who knows how long it was, but at least you recovered enough for your wounds to stop gushing blood. Your hunger though is even worse than it was before, as you move for your defeated foe... only to find scavenging deep sea creatures picking the carcass to bits.
Scaring them off in anger, you suppose you shouldn't judge since you are to do the same yourself, and it's not like you can eat the entire body... right? For now though, as you tear free a tentacle larger than yourself, you certainly feel hungry enough to eat it all before you've had your fill and can focus on other things once again. After you've eaten, the question of course what you do next?
>You damn well will eat this entire kraken rather than abandon it to scavengers, even if you have to drag it to the surface with you!
>There's hardly anything left down here, in ruins this deep. Take what little you can, before departing.
>After being imprisoned down here for so long, you are more than done with this place. Leave it behind and carry nothing of it with you.
