>>5158471Well, in the midst of writing the short story (not yet finished), I've gathered enough detail to give a brief but comprehensive character sheet of what Sathriel looks like in my mind. There are more subtle details to Sathriel's character but that would be shown in the short story.
Sathriel, the Obsidian Arbiter
Vitruvian/Skintalker/Calcite Armorer: Obsidian Library of the Void
Appearance: Face-claim of Binah from Lobotomy Corporation. Often accompanied by two sharply dressed humanoid constructs named "Solomon" and "Yan Wong". Bears little to zero corruption. Appears as a very intimidating woman whose overwhelming presence is softened by her show of restraint, her sharp wit, a fair sense of judgement, and her ability to handle disputes that leaves jurors satisfied with her verdict and the guilty punished justly.
Behavior: There are two sides to Sathriel. One side is the Judge. Polite, and professional, level-headed, and mature, showing incredible feats of restraint. The other is the Executioner. A foul-mouthed, bloodthirsty, short tempered, childish, and emotional side who cares not for restraint. Chained together by Vitruvian Corruption, the two sides create a twisted Judicial scale where Sathriel must constantly balances which side of 'Justice" she allows herself to express. Intimidating and off-putting, her bi-polar behavior is balanced out by her two 'more human' constructs whom act as her minders as well as her enforcers.
Combat abilities/style: Obsidian Library of the Void - A wicked combination of Vitruvian Modularity and Ironclad defense inherent in Calcite Armorers. Her equipment and constructs are enchanted with the most expansive and Exotic skintalking effects that have been engraved onto the Monolithic Pillars Sathriel creates as well as on the Arbiter's body herself. Beware, she is also rumored to hold powerful relics with unknown properties. One such rumor is a relic that allows her to cast 'complete sentences' within a single action.
Pre-crucible life: A sharp woman who had a young but strong career as an attorney in pre-crucible times. Sathriel has borne a very strong sense of justice and morals but often found herself frustrated at the lack of immediate Karmic justice within the court of law. Even moreso when the courts she worked in have been corrupted by bribery and the verdict bought out by influential figures within society.
Crucible life: The downfall of humanity by the Crucible's arrival has done wonders to unfettering Sathriel to the notions of civility and giving her "Cathartic Justice" in dealing with her frustrations. But old habits and professions die hard even in a post-apocalypse world, so now Sathriel finds herself playing the fair Judge, the impartial Jury, and the merciless Executioner as a way to entertain herself. Wandering the wastes, taking on legal cases, biding her time and dutifully playing Judge and Jury, until the moment she is allowed the Cathartic role of Executioner.
